      <image:title>Get Started - Voice Lessons</image:title>
<image:caption>Jaimie provides a three-part system in her voice lesson studio. Students will spend the beginning of the lesson warming up and doing vocal exercises. Warming up is critical to prevent vocal strain or injury, and during this time students are taught proper technique. After spending some time warming up and perfecting technique, students will work on sight-reading. Music has it's own written language and it is important for singers to understand how to read the music they are given. We will be working with solfege (do-re-mi-fa-sol-la-ti), which is an amazing tool for helping singers know what note they need to sing without hearing it from a piano. Toward the end of the lesson, students will work on a song. This is everyone's favorite part of the lesson! During this time, students will apply the technique and sight-reading they learned earlier in the lesson, as well as work on vocal expression.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Get Started - Piano Lessons</image:title>
<image:caption>Jaimie provides a three-part system in her piano lesson studio. Students will spend the beginning of the lesson warming up on the piano by doing scales and finger exercises. Taking time to warm up builds finger strength, improves skill, trains the ear, and allows for more fluid finger movement for the remainder of the lesson. After spending some time warming up and perfecting technique, students will play what they've been given to practice. During this time, we will work on perfecting what they've been given to work on. Toward the end of the lesson, students will learn new material that they will be asked to practice for the next lesson.</image:caption>
